i got my mod1 3 months ago and is running very strong. i hear a lot of people complaining about getting the flash hider off to put barrel extension on. i got the allen or hex(whatever it is) and slightly hammered int the screw. it took a while but i got it out. getting the stupid thing off was a pain in the butt though. i just got some pliers and twisted it off clockwise. other than the skrew being there they glued it in place i have no clue why, i just used my handy wire brush and lightly rubbed the glue off and put barrel extention on. i didnt put skrew back in. just get it really freakin tight

my mp5 is 5 months old and now im having problems with my selector “loosening up” which locks my trigger. does anyone here ever encountered the same problem?

Hey I have taken apart my l96 and I am in the process of putting it back together. I am stuck where you put the outer barrel into the upper reciever. Every time I try screwing it in the bolt gets pushed outward and wont go back in. I push the bolt back in to resting position then the barrel pops out. What is going on?

Hi! First off, great review. Very well done!

I’ve got this rifle a few months back, never tried it ourside but inside i have. I’ve got a little problem with it and i can’t seem to find anyone else that has had the same problem. When i fire it on a distance of about 10meters it pulls about 10cm to the right of where i aim. I’ve tried adjusting both the hopup and the scope but still gives me the same problem. The guy in the store said others have had the same problem and that i should either get a precision barrel or try to bend the original barrel. What do you suggest i do? I have made no upgrades on it.

hey bkeltner, i got this gun a couple of day ago. the reviews were good… but people say that “upgrade parts” for this gun are hard to find, is it true? one more question, the shop told me the stock 8.4volt Ni-MH battery would just last for more or less 3months? my battery is located at the butt-stock… most people would recommend the M4’s or the stubby killer for CQB. would you agree that JG Mp5 ras is better?

That’s a great setup. I like how you have so many mags right at your fingertips in the front. I’ve been playing with a huge pack for so long my back can’t even take it anymore. I might have to pick one of these little beauties up.

well i just started air-soft and i really like this gun i played the other day at my nearby field and i shot my friend and he has a huge welt also i used a suppressor and a 30.00$ scope its got some range with the suppressor overall i love this gun 5/5

ok i got mine apart last night seems like there are two groves just after to opening for the hop up ( these are around the barrel) and the hop up holding slot is on the same side as the hop up opening… and a standered aeg looks like there are just two flat spots on the sides and the hop up slot is 180 deg. from the opening.

seems like all thats needed to fit a standered aeg barrel to the well, utg, tsd, ect. is to cut 3 slots 2 are easy to do (the ones around the barrel) the hop up slot is a bit trickier as it is parellel to the barrel.

has any one re-machined an aeg barrel to fit the type 96 chamber before?…

also I noticed that the barrel is very loose in the chamber do y’all think locking it in place better would help in consistancy?… i was thinking of adding 3-4 setting screws, maby using nylon setscrews, around the barrel to lock it in place…

any thoughts?
