Ok has anyone else noticed the sudden influx of airsoft M14’s at Op’s lately? Well I have and they seem to OWN! I was even more surprised that here that they get them to you for under $100! We then got a hold of one (an AGM) and it was chrono’ing at around 340fps.

The 1911 is a classic choice for Gas Blowback Pistols in the airsoft community. This particular version made by WE-Tech is an excellent choice for the price. I purchased this model from Evike.com for $99.95.

This is the Gaurder Speeder 2000 Chrono. This particular chrono was designed for airsoft purposes and uses a set of electronic eyes to calculate a projectiles velocity. Radar and sound chronographs can be an alternative to the electronic eye but there can be a variation of results because of so many uncontrolled factors. This version really makes it very simple and gives accurate results so that there is no more guessing when it comes to the speed of your weapon. I purchased this particular chrono from Evike.com for $139.99.

This rifle is a somewhat exact copy of the Maruzen Type96. It operates and disassembles identically. It is also very similar to the AGM version of the rifle we hear. With a price tag of sub $100 and claims of it shooting close to 500fps out of the box there is no wonder why so many people are talking about the rifle. Are the rumors true? Well here is where you find out.

Note that this rifle comes in either Black or OD finish. I painted it before this review was made. (more…)

What does this Tutorial cover? / Equipment used
This tutorial explains how to modify your m4 mags (STAR MAG brand) to correctly feed into some M4 rifles that do not hold the mag high enough in the mag well.
I was using an AIM M4 and STAR 85 round mid-cap Magazine.
